Is reglazing an old pair of glasses a good option
Is reglazing an old pair of glasses a good option?
Everyday wear and tear of prescription glasses inevitably leads to misalignment or change in the structure of the frames. As it is, wearing prescription glasses for long hours and that too, daily is a slightly uncomfortable experience, but if the glasses are not fitted properly, the discomfort will increase making the whole eye-wear experience almost unbearable.

When the situation deteriorates, you might be even tempted to put an end to this discomfort by trying it on your own. In that case, reglazing offers you a very feasible solution. But one must know the situations in which reglazing can be done.

Most of the retail shops offer the reglazing service at an affordable rate. Many online stores have also started offering the service. Reglazing takes care of any misalignment or looseness of joints ensuring that your old frames can go on for longer times. Generally, reglazing increases the life of prescription glasses, leading to financial savings and comfortable wear.

There are countless reasons for your prescription glasses to lose its shape into an uncomfortable one. From the simple reason of forgetting your prescription glasses on a chair and someone sitting on them to the more normal one of the pair slipping from your head and getting bent after bouncing on the floor, the results are more or less same and call for an adjustment.

Before you reglaze glasses, even you can try to take care of the misalignments of your prescription glasses. Lay your glasses flat on a soft surface and then apply slight but even pressure against the area or areas that are out of order. While applying pressure, make sure that you don’t apply any force on the lenses. And small amount of pressure on the lenses of your prescription glasses can cause scratches on it or any other damages that can’t be repaired.

If you don’t feel comfortable while attempting to repair or if you feel that the adjustments required are more than normal, it is always better to take the prescription glasses to the optician’s office to have them looked at and repaired professionally. Obviously, an optician will have access to more equipments than you have and they have experience in these matters as well.

Modern Designer Glasses make you look Unique
The increasing pace of life has left us taking less care of our health. As we all know, eyes are the most used organs of our body used incessantly as long as one is awake (in fact, the whole definition of ‘awake’ and ‘sleep’ is based on the condition of the eyes)....
