Prescription Glasses whilst Swimming
When it comes to swimming, prescription glasses users always face a dilemma – whether to dive in without wearing a pair of prescription glasses or to find a practical solution to help you stay safe in the water?

The good news is that while swimming you will only need distance correction glasses. And it is alright if these distance correction glasses are not exact as your regular pair of prescription glasses. It is safe to assume that you’ll be swimming for short periods of time, so if you are not able to see finer details then it shouldn’t be a cause for concern. It is a common phenomenon that vision in the water is not as good as it is in the air. In the light of above incidents, it will be safe to assume that any solution for swimming will cost you less than a duplicate pair of glasses.

Among the countless choices present which can offer you clear vision while swimming, you have to choose the one which suits you the most. Your decision will also be dependent on the amount of time you are willing to spend at water. Obviously, the choice will differ from a potential swimmer preparing to enter into competitions to a casual swimmer planning to float few rounds in the swimming pool.

Swimming while wearing your contact lenses is also possible too, but they do have the chances of getting washed out of the eye. It is a good practice to wear goggles over the top of your lenses, to be on a safer side. Contact lenses also have the disadvantage of collecting bacteria while swimming. This problem can be solved by wearing disposable lenses and once you come out of the pool, discarding them. Generally opticians can supply you with small amounts of daily wear lens. You need to ensure that these lenses are available according to your prescription.

You can also try using your old pair of prescription glasses. You can use an elastic sports band to hold on to those glasses if necessary. If the glasses are used for too long then this long contact with the pool chemicals may result in the deterioration of the coatings. To avoid this, once you are done with the swimming, wash them in soap water.

There are also prescription swimming goggles which are customised according to your prescription. And though these prescription swimming goggles are expensive; it might be a good investment for someone who is planning to spend a lot of time in water.

Modern Designer Glasses make you look Unique
The increasing pace of life has left us taking less care of our health. As we all know, eyes are the most used organs of our body used incessantly as long as one is awake (in fact, the whole definition of ‘awake’ and ‘sleep’ is based on the condition of the eyes)....
